Here’s another look at Honda’s new adventure scooter, probably only weeks away from official unveiling.
We first saw this machine, based on Honda’s Integra scooter, at last year’s EICMA show. Since then, we’ve spotted in a couple of patent filings, and more recently, in teaser videos that promise our horizons are going to change forever.
What does the video itself give away? Very little; we know there’s a dual clutch transmission from a glimpse of the controls, but that’s hardly a surprise. Wire wheels mean it should be able to handle a bit of a beating in the dirt, and the video shows plenty of step-through hoonery to back up that claim. But can we really expect a scooter to become a legitimate off-road performer? Until reports from the first test rides come in, we can only guess.
The passenger footrest are above and folded back and have a triangular shape. Sadly I can`t post pictures here but on the third and last video teasers the foot pegs are absent so have to wait for EICMA to see if they make it on the production version. Might be to keep cost down or maybe their position was not ideal.

[…] Big Red is usually more of a major player at EICMA, but this year, Honda will unveil its new “adventure scooter” and the new CBR100RR at Intermot. There’s a lot of interest in what that new superbike […]
Having ridden a scooter for many years, I love the practicality. However, not being able to lift your butt off the seat on rough sections is a major downer. Hopefully this design allows for that on some level. Can’t tell from the video.
The concept bike had foot pegs in the standard location as well but there is none visible on the video, will the production version have them or maybe have them as an accessory that remain to be seen. I hope so.
Had another look at the concept bike pics, and I think those may be intended as passenger pegs. Maybe there will be more details next week.
The passenger footrest are above and folded back and have a triangular shape. the pegs were too low for passenger use.On the third and last video teasers the foot pegs are absent and they were also on the concept presented at the Tokyo show so have to wait for EICMA ( it`s not meant to be released at Intermot next week but who knows ) to see if they make it on the production version. Might be to keep cost down or maybe their position was not ideal.
