Seen much of Keanu Reeves lately? Neither have we. And that might be because he’s still working away on producing custom bikes with his friend Gard Hollinger, sold under the Arch Motorcycles marque.
In the video above, Reeves and Hollinger talk about the machines they’re creating and selling. If you’ve got $78,000 US, you could have one too — no idea if used KRGT-1 motorcycles ever show up on Kijiji or Craigslist, but chances are you’re going to have to pay sticker price for one of these.
Production is limited to around 30 a year; they put out 121 hp and have a six-speed transmission (seems the engine is from S&S, transmission is proprietary). And each bike is built to fit the buyer’s physical dimensions, so maybe a Craigslist buy wouldn’t work anyway, unless you found a seller who was the same height and weight as you.
Although these bikes are definitely toys for the rich and famous, Arch Motorcycles doesn’t slack off on real-world usability. Dry weight is a manageable 244 kg, and the bikes have 300-340 kms of range, thanks to a five-gallon tank. Front and rear suspension is fully adjustable. Lighting is LED all around. If you’re curious you can find out more at the Arch Motorcycles site here.
Beautiful bike, but I just can’t do ‘foot-forward’. I don’t need rearsets; just a nice, mid-position placement will do nicely.
He’s the ONE!
yes im so busy also in getting y testing in for recruit for alberta rcmp and I will have an income
Damn do they look good.
Yay.
Sell it again and turn $78k into $20k!
Suggestion: Call Dan Gurney at AAR and fit their engine into a motorcycle frame. Then you may have something worth $78K.
Next stop.: Hollywood Squares.
Nice, but not 78,000 nice.
Who cares…..?
Doesn’t really interest me but all the best to him.
