Victory announces 2017 lineup

Victory has announced its 2017 lineup, and so far, there’s nothing changing too drastically.

The Octane, Gunner, High-Ball, Hammer S, Vegas, Vegas 8-Ball, Magnum, Magnum X-1, Cross Country, Cross Country Tour, Vision Tour, and Empulse TT electric bike all return. As far as we can tell, none of them have changed mechanically, although paint options have obviously changed. Victory does have a Stage 2 upgrade kit with 2-1 exhaust and redesigned air intake that can boost horsepower by 10 per cent and torque by five per cent for their Freedom 106 models.

What’s next for Victory? The August launch season is fast approaching, when the American manufacturers debut their new models. Victory is typically a bit quieter than its rivals during this period, but don’t be shocked if we soon see more performance-oriented models to add to the cruiser lineup. After all, if Victory’s engineers didn’t spend much time upgrading their current lineup, they must have been busy elsewhere … Beside the Empulse TT, the rest of those models are still looking pretty cruiserish, so we’re still waiting for the performance-driven models we were promised back in 2015.

  1. They appear to be sticking to the Victory name for cruisers and Indian for more performance oriented machines.
Seems to be working, HD is running scared ?

    • I wonder about the company’s future (Polaris). Ten years from now, will we look back and see we’ve replaced one company with a reliance on older tech/styling (Harley-Davidson) with just another company offering the same thing? Because right now, they’re pretty much neck and neck in these departments. Polaris has lots of momentum, but Harley-Davidson has actually been fairly busy lately, updating their lineup in a Royal Enfield kind of way (in with the new, but not out with the old).
