A rider in the Ottawa area has turned himself in after several reports of a motorcyclist riding erratically and even brandishing a handgun.
CBC says a rider turned himself into police within hours of the police going public with pleas for help in apprehending their suspect. Tips enabled them to locate the motorcycle used by the suspected rider; shortly after, a man turned himself in to police.
The case made headlines last week with both the OPP and Ottawa police searching for a red Honda CBR. They said the bike had counterfeit or missing plates, and was allegedly being ridden dangerously around Ottawa. Drivers had reported the rider had brandished a handgun as well.
25-year-old James Cole faces two charges of breaching probation and two charges of pointing a firearm.

The previous owner of the bike posted the vin in a public thread on Facbeook as well. this dude didn’t have much chance of not getting caught
Literally the only smart thing he did was turn himself in. Ottawa police (and police in general) take cun crime pretty seriously. He would have had a dozen tactical unit officers kicking the world in around him had he not turned himself in.
His kijiji ad to sell the bike made the rounds in online forums and it was tweeted a Ottawa police multiple times.
