Canada Moto Rallies announces the two title sponsors for the 2016 Fundy Adventure Rally: BMW Motorrad Canada and Honda Canada. They have also launched a new website with all the current information – get your teams ready, registration is set to open May 2 (provisionally).
This year the main A-B-C ride will be a team-only event, and they have added a new scavenger hunt ride for solo riders or riders wishing to ride as a group. The idea of the new scavenger ride is to offer a 250 km loop taking in the best local sites, pavement and easy gravel, with the added challenge of solving clues and tasks along the way. The route will be available in a printed map format, therefore a GPS is not required for this ride.
They will continue to showcase Adventure Bike Demo Rides, and this year have added Honda Canada’s lineup alongside the BMW fleet. The demo rides can be reserved at the time of registration and at the Rally – anticipate a high demand for the demo rides as the new Africa Twin and the R1200GS will be available to ride on a preset circuit of dirt and gravel – terrain for which they were designed.
BMW Rider Training sessions are offered again this year, and new this year is the Honda Rally Prep sessions. Seminars from special guests will cover how-to, technical, and travel presentations. Check the website regularly for updates as schedule details are added.
