Race Results: WSB Assen

The World Superbike circus descended on the Dutch TT Circuit this weekend, with great results for Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki) as always, some good signs for the Honda team, and some disappointment for Tom Sykes (Kawasaki).

Race 1

Tom Sykes started Race 1 on pole, and looked like he might earn his usual podium. He ended up crashing out, with the win going to Rea. Davies was second, and Nicky Hayden (Honda) was third, a result that’s an improvement over his recent efforts. Leon Camier (MV Agusta) and then Jordi Torres  (BMW) rounded out the top five.

Race 2

Sykes made up for his error in Race 1 by earning a second, although Rea took first again. Once again, a Honda ended on the podium, with Michael Van Der Mark earning third. Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia) was fourth and Davies was fifth.
