Triumph Canada has finally released pricing for the new Tiger Explorer XR and XC lines. The XR is the road orientated Explorer with cast wheels, whereas the XC gets wire wheels and some bash protection.
The bikes come in many variations with X, T and A versions offering different accessories and options as standard. To get the full deets, check out the CMG Buyer’s Guide or go the Guide’s model page by clicking on its link below:
- Tiger Explorer XR – $18,200
- Tiger Explorer XRx – $20,000
- Tiger Explorer XRx Low – $20,000
- Tiger Explorer XRT – $21,800
- Tiger Explorer XCx – $20,900
- Tiger Explorer XCx Low – $20,900
- Tiger Explorer XCa – $22,900
So how does that shape up to the competition? Well in the world of Adventure – Street (cast wheels) the base XR is about a grand less than BMW’s R1200GS and Ducati’s Multistrada, with a similar difference when it comes to comparing the wire wheeled XC with the GS Adventure and Multistrada Enduro.
Sounds about right then.
Triumph, you mean to tell me that any of these machines would sell more than your new (unavailable in Canada) Tiger Sport 1050????
FYI Canada (and the US for that matter) does have paved roads!
Triumph, great engineering but too bad that good work is spoiled by a marketing branch that sucks big time!
