Information session for Dacre rally runs Saturday

Dacre

Interested in tackling the Dacre Dual Sport Challenge this summer? Then you should think about heading down to Twisted Throttle Canada’s HQ this weekend for an information session this weekend — the first of three preceding the event.

This weekend’s general information session runs Saturday, April 2, from 10 AM to noon at the Twisted Throttle location in New Dundee, Ontario (formerly A Vicious Cycle). The event will provide an overview of what the Dacre is about — handy for a newcomer. You’ll get a heads-up on how to prepare as a rider, and how to prepare your bike.

There are two more information sessions about the Dacre. A technical how-to day runs two weeks from now, on April 16, 10 AM-noon. This session covers technical details like lighting requirements, GPS preparation, bike protection and personal riding gear choices.

The final how-to session runs Tuesday, May 10, 7 PM-9 PM. It focuses on specifically on GPS — what unit will fit your needs, what are your mounting options, and other setup questions.

The Dacre itself runs June 24-26, with the actual ride on June 25. More details are on Rally Connex’s website here.
