Erik Buell Racing launches 2016 models, drops pricing

Erik Buell Racing has launched their 2016 models, which look a lot like the 2015 models, but with lower pricing.

When Liquid Asset Partners purchased EBR at auction, they bought a turn-key operation, with bikes actually sitting on the production line. A few weeks after the purchase, they’re back in business. Last week, the first bikes rolled off the line for this year, and the new owners have dropped the prices.

The 1190SX is now priced at $12,995 US, and the 1190RX is now priced at $13,995. Those are significant drops, from $16,995 and $18,995 respectively. The price tags were one of the biggest problems people had with the original models before the company’s 2015 bankruptcy.

Now, the bikes are much more affordable for an average rider, but finding them might be a difficult proposition. For now, if you want one, you’ll have to pick it up at the factory, until the dealer network gets rebuilt, and there’s no telling when we’ll see them in Canada. The factory never got them into Canada under the previous incarnation of the company; we haven’t seen Buell-branded bikes here since Harley-Davidson dropped their Buell lineup in 2009.
