Dorna to publish documentary on Jorge Lorenzo’s 2015 season

You can’t say MotoGP had a particularly pleasant storyline in 2015, at least not towards the end, but it sure was interesting, and Dorna has made a documentary that tells how Jorge Lorenzo managed to win his third championship.

Titled Jorge Lorenzo Guererro, the 80-minute doc aired on Movistar+ in Spain this week, and will see international distribution soon. Since Lorenzo isn’t anywhere near as popular as some of the other race frontrunners, the question is, who will actually watch the film. Answer: All of Valentino Rossi’s fans, who are going to be viewing the film, hoping for proof that Marc Marquez unfairly robbed #46 to hand the title to fellow Spaniard Lorenzo.

Frankly, given the amount of ill-will towards Lorenzo last season, particularly when he threw Yamaha teammate Rossi under the bus, this documentary is a bit of a puzzler. When you consider the fairytale season Rossi had, minus that run-in with Marquez that arguably cost him the title, you’d think that storyline might have made better film material.

  1. Never been much of a Lorenzo fan … cant see why they would make this as it seems like a weak title to say the least. Anyways .. that being said if its possible for me to watch it ..
