Report: New owner for Boss Hoss

Is the Boss Hoss the last refuge for an American president who's feuding with the domestic motorcycle industry on Twitter?

Boss Hoss, the US-based builder of behemoth V8-powered cruisers, is under new ownership.

According to blogger Cyril Huze, previous owner and founder Monte Warne has sold Boss Hoss to brothers Ricky and Travis Dietz, who will serve as president and CEO respectively. The Dietz brothers, hailing from Louisiana, have been Boss Hoss dealers and owners since 2006, Huze reports.

As of this morning, Boss Hoss only lists two Canadian dealers on their website (one in Ontario, one in Alberta), but they do seem to still be available in Canada. The new owners supposedly plan on building their US dealership network, but we don’t know what their plans are for our Canadian market. With the recent dump of the CAD compared to the USD, it’s likely going to be tricky for any US-based manufacturer to grow their sales in our market for a while.
