More Royal Enfield Himalayan photos surface

Those are some pretty sharp-looking cases. If this really is the bike's final form, it appears ready for true long-haul adventure.

Either the Royal Enfield marketing department is releasing these photos covertly (and doing a good job of hiding it), or their development team needs to tighten their security leaks.

In an age where magazines are constantly asked to buy “spy shots” (that usually look suspiciously like pre-arranged publicity shots) of Euro machines, no manufacturer has ever had their allegedly top-secret protoypes splashed through the media for months on end like Royal Enfield has with the Himalayan.

These latest photos, gleaned from the Indian moto-press, supposedly show the ready-to-roll form of the bike, due to be unveiled within a couple weeks. It’s certainly a much more polished protoype than the cobbled-together lumps we saw earlier this year. If you need more details (410 cc motor, etc., etc.), click here. We’ve been covering the gossip on this thing for at least a year at this point.

  1. Again it`s faith will depend on price as the Royal Enfield badg won`t be enough to make it a success. Must be under $5,000 which i doubt it will otherwise a CRF 250 L to name but this one despite beeing lower on power and fuel tank capacity would be a more interesting option.
