EICMA: Minor changes for BMW F700 GS, F800 GS

BMW’s F700 GS and F800 GS are getting a restyling for 2016, but not much else.

After the F800 R was given a power boost last year, it wouldn’t have been unsurprising to see the GS lineup get a similar horsepower increase, from 87ish hp to 90 hp. But, BMW has forgone that. The 700 and 800 only get styling changes.

The changes basically boil down to new bodywork panels and options for lower and higher seats.

  1. I rode a demo F700GS in the Austrian alps last year, two-up – great bike. Doesn’t need any more power. A lower first gear or heavier flywheel perhaps, it was a bit of a fuss to move from standing.
