Calgarian Braeden Ortt has wrapped up a fine season of racing his KTM RC390 with a second-place finish in the KTM RC Cup World Final.
The KTM RC Cup World Final ran over the weekend at England’s Silverstone circuit; it was an invitational race, comprised of the best racers from the various RC390 series running around the globe. Ortt’s been racing in the MotoAmerica KTM series this summer, finishing third in that series and earning an invite to the showdown at Silverstone.
In the two races at the British track, Ortt landed on the podium both times. He finished third in Race 1 and second in the Race 2. He was only 0.008 seconds off a first-place finish (the winner was Djim Ulrich). Not bad, considering Ortt had broken his hand racing at New Jersey three weeks before!
The next question is: Is Ortt considering CSBK? He’s already had a couple seasons racing abroad, in the European Junior Cup and now the RC390 series. Will he consider a CSBK ride next year, or does he have other plans?

I don’t think coming to Canada would be a good idea, BSB is the way to go if he wants to hit the world stage.
