Kawasaki is introducing a new Ninja ZX-10R superbike

Kawasaki is about to release an upgraded Ninja ZX-10R superbike.

According to a press release sent out this morning, Kawasaki has used their success in World Superbike to design an improved ZX-10. Changes include a  “comprehensive upgrade of the suspension components and the adoption of a premium grade braking system.” The bodywork has also been reworked, and the press release seems to indicate changes to the engine, although it doesn’t mention specific mechanical upgrades.

We might see spy shots leak in the next few days, but otherwise, you’ll see the bike in October, after its press launch in Spain.

When Yamaha released the R1M last fall, they made a lot of noise about the bike’s racing pedigree, and it seems Kawasaki is following that pattern with the new ZX-10, with several references in their marketing to World Superbike stars Tom Sykes and Jonathan Rea.
