But what good is a buyer’s guide? Well, the obvious answer is so a potential buyer can compare potential purchases side by side in one location (we even reworked the info so it’s a direct comparo across brands). But it’s also a great source to see what is what and entertain the motorcycle stats freaks among you. Â For example, some interesting facts:
What is the most expensive three-wheeler in Canada?
No, not the decked out Spyder RT Limited ($34,149), nor the fancy Slingshot SL ($26,499), and definitely not the top-of-the-line adventure Ural Gear-Up hack ($18,599). Nope it’s the old school trike (two wheels at the back), Harley-Davidson Tri Glide Ultra at a hefty $41,359.
What’s the best value for money classic air-cooled cafe racer?
Comparing the Moto Guzzi V7 racer ($10,590) to the Triumph Thruxton ($10,699) and they look pretty even. The Thruxton has a 120 cc advantage (at 856 cc), which also gives it 50% more HP and double the torque of the Guzzi, but it’s also a parallel twin as opposed to the Guzzi’s V-twin that some might prefer. But then let’s not forget the Royal Enfield Continental GT; $3,500 less than the others, but a lowly 535cc single with half the power of the Triumph and a third of the torque.
