The Russian World Superbike round has been dropped again for 2015.
The Moscow round was added to the WSB schedule in 2012, but was canceled last year as a result of the ongoing turmoil in Ukraine. It was supposed to run again this July, but has been canceled now due to wrangling over the contract.
The official press release from Dorna said “The Russian event promoter, YMS Promotion, has not provided the required contract guarantees defined by DWO to confirm and implement the event organisation.”
There will be no replacement round, leaving only 13 confirmed WSB events for 2015. Also, as a result of the fallout, the Moscow Region Yakhnich Motorsport Team will not participate in the Supersport championship.
