What’s Alta Motors up to these days? Running laps on their Redshift MX dirt bike, it seems.
Alta Motors hasn’t made a lot of unnecessary hype in recent months (if only that was true of all battery bike manufacturers!), but they continue to plug away on their motocross and supermoto projects. Their goal? To build an electric bike with the power of a 250-class MXer, but with 1000-hour engine service intervals. We can’t emphasize enough how that would be fantastic for racers.
Here’s test rider Dennis Stapleton, an AMA Pro Racer, testing the Redshift MX on a track, and talking about what it’s like to ride an electric motocrosser.
