Honda was the top-selling motorcycle brand in Canada in 2014, according to a company press release.

Honda sold 10,930 motorcycles in Canada last year, over 1,000 bikes more than their nearest competitor. The company says they were the top-selling brand in the Off Road recreation, Dual Sport and Sport categories. That’s likely due to their traditionally strong dirt bike lineup, their popular CRF250L dual sport and the CBR500 entry-level sport bike.

Along with sales success, Honda’s press release also noted their racing success last year; Big Red’s riders won both the Canadian MX championship and the Canadian Superbike championship, which surely didn’t hurt sales.

This was the first time since 2007 that Honda led national motorcycle sales.
