When the World Superbike series announced the South African round was canceled, there was some debate as to whether or not it would be replaced. The answer is in – no.

According to their press release, World Superbike and World Supersport are working on a plan on how to compensate for the reduction in available points available after the cancellation. They’re also planning to re-arrange the award ceremony; the WSBK and WSS awards will be handed out the day after the final races in Qatar (Monday, Nov. 3). The other classes ( FIM STK 1000 Cup, European STK 600 Championship, European Junior Cup) will see their awards handed out on October 5, after the Magny-Cours round.

The remainder of the World Superbike schedule for 2014 is as follows:

Sep 07 – WSBK Jerez, Spain
Oct 05 – WSBK Magny-Cours, France
Nov 02 – WSBK Losail, Qatar
