ACCEL develops SuperCoils for Sportsters

Do you have a Harley-Davidson Sportster? Do you despise the look of your ignition wires? If so, ACCEL has the solution for you.

ACCEL has taken their SuperCoils and developed a version for Sportsters; supposedly, these units deliver up to 20 per cent more juice than stock coils for easier starting and quicker throttle response, all in a self-contained coil pack that eliminates the need for spark plug wires. That’s right – through some sort of voodoo magic only understood by the designers, these units plug right on top of your spark plugs and provide the voltage needed to run ’em.

We’re not sure why visible spark plug wires are considered a big deal, but apparently some people get concerned about that sort of thing.

The new SuperCoils work on Sportsters from 2007-2014; the company already has options available for Twin Cam motors. They cost $229 in the US and come with a limited lifetime warranty.
