On the weekend, Chris Fox won his fourth consecutive first place trophy of the season to win the Screamin’ Eagle V-Rod Destroyer Eastern Series.
Fox (riding for Fox Harley-Davidson) battled previous multi-time champ Pete Thomson (Rocky’s Harley-Davidson) through the day’s racing on Saturday, but Fox managed to prevail in the ending elimination round, though Thomson made a quicker light. It was their fourth elimination showdown this season.
With the Eastern Series over, Fox will be headed west next month, to compete in the East vs. West Destroyer series showdown, on Sept. 27 and 28, to determine the national champion. The Canadian Motorcycle Drag Racing Association’s National Points series has its next event in Fort St. John, B.C., on August 23-24.
