MotoGP just finalized a contract to switch tire suppliers, starting with the 2016 season, and now the World Superbike series has also issued a call for tenders for a new control tire.
Currently, Pirelli supplies WSB tires, but that agreement is up by the end of 2015. As a result, series officials are asking for suppliers to send in tenders by August 25. The winner will be the sole tire supplier from 2016 onwards.
