Spy Shot Madness: Part 4 – BMW S1000F

For a while now, there have been rumours of a new sport tourer coming from BMW, based on their S1000RR platform. Now we have new spy shots of the bike.

Check out this shot from aftermarket supplier Wunderlich (we found the shot on Asphalt and Rubber). It shows a bike built around their inline-four, but with a tall touring screen. Asphalt and Rubber had a few spy snaps of the bike earlier this year, but it was unclear how far off this machine was for production.

Now, it seems the machine can’t be far off, if Wunderlich is working on accessories. We’re guessing we’ll see this bike by EICMA, if not sooner.

Interestingly, the new bike has been pegged as a sport tourer, but seems to really be muscling in on V-Strom 1000 territory – those are almost adventure bike ergos.

  1. It looks like this might replace the K1300S, not happy. I’ve had two 1200S’ and two 1200R’s and I love them. The fit, the ride, the shaft drive, I could go on. I don’t see the S1000F as an upgrade, listening BMW?

  2. Interesting bike. When the Versys 1000 came out, everyone laughed, now there is 5? Ducati MultiStrade, Triumph Tiger 1050, KTM 990 SMT, Aprilia Caponord and now BMW. Hmm.
