The Honda Racing Corporation has announced Yoshishige Nomura will be their new president.

Nomura takes over from Tetsuo Suzuki, who spent five years running HRC. Suzuki is heading to a new Honda department, where he’s going to be developing new street-based motorcycles for Honda’s global market.

Nomura himself comes from a design background; he started his career with Honda way back in 1985, working on R&D for the company’s racebikes. He was involved with engine development for the NR750, RC30 and RC45, and after moving to HRC in 1994, also worked on the RVF and RVT and RC211V projects.
