Early registration has opened for the Overland Adventure rally, run by Canadian Dakar racer Lawrence Hacking.
The rally runs July 11-13 at the Mohawk Inn and Toronto West KOA Campground. Organizers have started to announce the event’s presenters and guests; this year, Canadian adventure riding hero Rene Cormier, UK-based dirt skills instructor and Dakar veteran Simon Pavey and comedian, actor and longtime motorcyclist Jonny Harris will all appear at the event. ADV guru Warren Milner’s going to be there as well, and Canadian Dakar finisher Patrick Beaule appears as well.
Along with onsite camping, a vintage motocross display and an industry expo, the rally will be running the Mohawk Mystery Challenge. This event gets you out on your bike using your GPS and road book to piece together clues; riders will cover about 200 kms while trying to win prizes donated by sponsors (including Honda, BMW, Triumph, Yamaha, KLIM, Heidanau, Giant Loop, A Vicious Cycle, Forcefield and many more this year).
