At the AIME show in Florida, Erik Buell Racing said they’d be entering World Superbike competition in 2014. Now we’ve got a few more details of what that’s going to look like.

Geoff May and Aaron Yates will be racing for EBR in next year’s WSB series. The team will officially be known as Team Hero EBR, and Giulio Bardi will serve as team manager. Claudio Quintarelli is team owner.

Of course, India-based Hero owns almost half of EBR, which explains their stake in the team. Mr. Pawan Munjal, Hero’s managing director and CEO, said the plan syncs perfectly with Hero’s move into new international markets, and they’re looking forward to exciting times. Considering the boldness of the move, we’d have to agree.
