AIMExpo in Florida looks like it could be a busy event. First, Suzuki said they would unveil bikes there, and now Buell says they’re launching a new machine there as well.

Erik Buell Racing has been teasing a new machine all summer, but this is the first solid news we have about the company’s intentions. The new sportbike will be named the 1190RX, and they’re taking the wraps off it on Oct. 16, in the middle of action at the new Orlando show.

The 1190RX will use the same motor as EBR’s 1190RS superbike, but the company says the rest of the machine is new, designed to “tame the wildest roads and rouse the most demanding riders.”

By the way, if you’re in Orlando in October, you can buy tickets for AIMExpo and attend yourself. There are industry-only days at the start of the Oct. 16-20 show, but halfway through, they’ll also open the doors to the public, allowing you to see the latest and greatest bikes and gear available.
