Want to get some dual sport riding in this weekend? You should head over to Rally Connex’s website and sign up for the Rock Hound Rally.

This year, the Rock Hound is a day-and-a-half dual sport rally in the Kawartha and Madawaska highlands in Ontario. It’ll cost $75 to enter, but you’ll get all day Saturday and part of Sunday to ride the trails and asphalt.

This year’s rally will have a trail ride, where you can compete with other riders in skills tests, or simply take it easy and enjoy the ride. There’s also going to be a road-based course for bikes with 50/50 stock tires, heading down a mixture of trails and asphalt.

This year, the event will be hosted out of the Loon’s Call Campground and Cottage Resort, near Cloyne; Rally Connex has arranged special pricing for riders attending the rally, and they recommend you arrive Friday night to get an early start Saturday. There’s plenty of stuff for families to do in the area, too, in case you want to bring the wife (or husband) and kids.

As well, there’s going to be a barbecue dinner 5-7 pm on Saturday; you can buy a meal ticket for $10 at the campground on Friday, or call ahead earlier and reserve a ticket (888-765-4756).
