While lurid films and shocking headlines tell us the UK cafe racer scene was full of brawls between Mods and Rockers, that wasn’t necessarily true.
Check out this short video clip on YouTube, showing the 59 Club and other relatively well-behaved motorcyclists of their time. They’re even delivering blood and taking orphans for rides (without bothering to bring a helmet for them)!
Imagine a time where people interacted socially, instead of through social media. Must have been good times. Real bonds were formed, not just friending someone on Facebook. Blame the computer age for the downfall of society. That’s what I do!
