Giant Loop has been very busy in the last year. The soft luggage maker has come out with a few new pieces of bike baggage, and updated their old models as well.
First up, Giant Loop has finally gotten around to producing a set of panniers. The company is best-known for one-piece bags that wrap around your bike’s tail section, but these panniers have more conventional styling. They have removable waterproof liners, and will fit bikes with or without luggage racks.
The Siskiyou panniers have a combined 70 litres of storage (35 apiece), as well as external pockets for water bottles. They come with two exhaust shields, for dual-piped bikes. MSRP is $649 US.
There’s a soft top case from Giant Loop as well. The Fort Rock bag has 120 litres of capacity. It’s splash-proof, not waterproof, but you can add Giant Loop’s Great Basin pod liners if you want to keep your gear dry in cloudbursts. It has reflective trim for visibility from all angles; MSRP is $399 US.
Giant Loop also put together a new handlebar bag for carrying your registration card, wallet, etc. The 1.5 litre Zigzag bag has a $49 MSRP; it doesn’t seem to be waterproof.
The company also has a new set of handguards for sale, the Bushwhackers. They don’t seem to be intended for heavy-duty brush-busting; instead, they appear to be intended to fit over existing brush guards, to keep mud, rain and other elements off your hands and controls. Their MSRP is $39.
The company has also upgraded their warranty; Giant Loop now offers a limited lifetime warranty on their gear. Check out the details here.
Along with a new warranty and new bags, Giant Loop also upgraded much of their existing lineup for 2013. The Great Basin saddlebag has more volume (up 10 litres to 60 litres), new compression straps for easier gear access, new zipper, and a re-designed storm flap. They also included a cable lock pass-through, for a little added security.
Their Coyote saddlebag also has a re-designed storm flap, and has been re-worked for easier mounting on you motorcycle. The Mojavi saddlebag has also been re-designed for easier mounting, and has a removable tool pouch included. Volume has been upped 3 litres to 13.5 litres.

Absolutely fantastic luggage system. I’m loving my Siskiyou Panniers on my 2012 BMW R1200 GSA.
