Italian manufacturer Borile is considering selling their cafe racers, enduros and scramblers in Canada.
You likely haven’t heard of Borile before; the company was founded in 1988 by Italian Umberto Borile, who’s a fan of enduro riding and classic bike styling. That enthusiasm shows in his company’s current lineup, which consists of a dual sport, scramblers and cafe racers.
The company builds small-capacity machines (nothing in their current lineup is over 500 cc, unless you count the machine they call the Bastard – they build the alloy frame and the rest of the bike around any motor you want; or, you can choose to use their 450 cc motor).
They also build in small volumes, but those numbers are growing. Their Multiuso model – essentially, an extremely utilitarian dual sport – recently sold 65 bikes in three months. That’s a big switch from the 50-bikes-a-year volume the company started with.
Borile’s cafe racer, the B500cr, is built around an air-cooled, two-valve 500 cc single based on Ducati’s 1100 desmo motor, with unit gearbox. It has electric start and Weber-Marelli fuel injection.
They also build the B450 Scrambler, with classic on-and-off styling and a 19-inch wheel in front, 18-inch wheel in back. They’re working on another machine called the B350EN; by its description, it’ll be built along similar lines. The 350 will also be built with a top end from Ducati.
But, it seems Borile’s biggest success right now is their Multiuso. This ugly-as-sin machine was built with one purpose in mind: functionality. It offers a super-lightweight chassis (the bike has an 85 kg claimed wet weight), carrying its 4.2 litres fuel in the 7020 alloy frame.
It gets 31 km per litre (88mpg), thanks to a small 230 cc made-in-China motor (the same single-cylinder design that powers many China bikes. It’s based on the Honda CG125).
This utilitarian machine can turn in circles under 230cm (90 inches). It may be the only motorcycle in the world with a motor from China and forks by Marzocchi.
It has a 21-inch wheel in front and an 18-inch wheel in back. Braking comes from a 220 mm stainless steel floating disc in front with two-piston caliper, and a 200 mm stainless steel floating disc in back, both with two-piston calipers.

Love the look of the B500 I would consider one of those for sure … Sorry but I think the Borile Multiuso is really cute… Better looking photos of it on the company site
