The winter motorcycle show circuit visits Halifax and Winnipeg this weekend.
Winnipeg gets the Mid-Canada Power Sport Show Friday-Sunday. Of course, there will be ATVs and snowmobiles at the show as well, but we’ll just have to let that slide. It runs at the Winnipeg Convention Centre.
The show will feature the usual suspects: a show n’ shine (that, somewhat humorously, will even include ATVs, which really defeats the point of having an off-road vehicle). If that’s not enough excitement for you, there will also be beer gardens and a fashion show. What self-respecting motorcycle fan would go to a bike display that didn’t have a fashion show?
The doors are open 3 p.m.-8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $12; kids under 12 can get in free if they are with an adult. Nice try, parents, but you can’t just drop your kids off at the door and leave them there for the afternoon.
Details on the Halifax show prove to be more elusive. While we know it runs at the Cunard Centre Friday ( 4 p.m.- 9p.m.), Saturday (9 a.m.-6 p.m.) and Sunday (1o a.m.-4 p.m.), we can’t find much more information, except for this exhibitor list. Oh yes, and there’s a CBR250 being given away, and tickets are $15 at the door, but $10 in advance.
