Schuberth is bringing a new series of helmets to market with improved communications and airflow technology.

The women's version of the C3 PRO has been designed specifically for female facial structure.

The new C3 PRO helmets (there’s the C3 PRO, and the C3 PRO WOMEN, designed especially for female facial structure) are upgraded versions of Schuberth’s existing C3 helmet. Wind-tunnel trickery other tweaking means the new lids can flow up over eight litres per second, keeping your head cool and your visor fog-free. The helmets also have a re-designed rear spoiler that provides eight per cent more downforce, keeping your head stable at high speed.

Schuberth also claims this is their quietest flip-up helmet ever, saying wind noise is measured at 82 dba, although we don’t know what speed that noise was measured at.

Since more and more riders are using some sort of communications system while aboard their bike, the C3 PRO also features an internal dual band antenna to integrate with the Schuberth Rider Communication System wireless connectivity. It’s supposed to improve the system’s FM reception, and also allow communication up to 700 metres.

MSRP for the new helmet is $839 for solid colours (Glossy Black, Matte Black, Glossy Silver, Glossy White for the C3 PRO and Matte Black, Silver, Pearl White and Pearl Pink for the women’s model) and $869 for the C3 PRO in hi-viz (no women’s model available in hi-viz).

  1. Bought a C3 a year ago – very disappointed ! The interior liner disintegrated within a few months, and was very expensive to replace. The Pinlocks for the inner fog shield came loose and fell off. Airflow was inadequate, there’s no outlet vent. I have four other helmets and have not experienced these issues with them.
