The Canadian motorcycle show season kicks off this weekend with the Toronto Motorcycle Show, running Dec. 7-9.
The show kicks off at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (255 Front Street West) at 10 a.m. Friday, running until 10 p.m.; it runs 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
This year, CSBK champion racer Jordan Szoke is the show’s grand marshal; of course the person everybody is really looking forward to seeing is Editor ‘Arris, who will be on the Full Throttle theatre stage on Friday at 1 p.m and Saturday at 2 p.m., expounding on his vast pile of motorcycle wisdom. Other speakers include Bob Szoke, who’s speaking on behalf of the Canadian Rider Safety Fund, Harley-Davidson racer Darren James (from CSBK’s XR1200 series), and several manufacturers’ reps.
Jordan Szoke, Chris Chapelle and Dan Johnson will be doing a trials demonstration, and the Yamaha Riding Academy for youngsters makes a return. On Friday night, it’s SHE Rides night from 5 until 10, with ladies getting in for half price.
The CMG Suzuki V-Strom adventure project will be on display at the Suzuki booth, so be sure to stop in and check that machine out. Of course, there’ll be plenty of other cool stuff to see at the show, including new bikes from most manufacturers.
