Are you tired of your current ride and looking to pick up a two-wheeler with a bit of a story behind it?

If so, you’re in luck – there are a couple of high-profile bikes on the market going under the auctioneer’s hammer soon.

First up – Steve McQueen’s 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross is going to auction in January. McQueen and his riding buddies made the Husqvarna brand famous in the film On Any Sunday. and McQueen even made the cover of Sports Illustrated while riding a Husky in the desert, shirtless. So much for ATGATT.

Whether this is the exact bike used in that film or photo shoot, we’re not sure, but it’s going to sale at the Bonhams auction in the Sin City on January 10.

If you’re looking for a machine that’s a little more modern, you can also try getting your hands on James Bond’s motorcycle. No, we’re not talking about the rocket-firing, turbocharged Yamaha Seca from Never Say Never Again, we’re talking about the disguised Honda CRF250L from the most recent film, Skyfall.

Honda is auctioning off the bike used in the movie, with the proceeds going to children’s charity Children in Need. They’re hoping to raise a large sum of money – tens of thousands of dollars.

By the way, if you’ve seen the film, you might be interested in the clip below, showing how the stunt team put together the motorcycle chase scene.
