Video Roundup: Isle of Man highlights, Motorcycle Cannonball Endurance Run

Riding a pre-1916 motorcycle across the country is just the sort of madness that CMG would endorse, if we could only afford the machine to do so.
Riding a pre-1916 motorcycle across the country is just the sort of madness that CMG would endorse, if we could only afford the machine to do so.

Through the miracle of YouTube, here are some videos that caught our eye this week.

First up – the Motorcycle Cannonball Endurance Run sees entrants take pre-1916 motorcycles on  16-day, 3,300 mile race across the U.S.; upcoming movie White Knuckle tells their story. Here’s the trailer, below:

Next, John McGuinness is now the man to beat at the Isle of Man TT. Here’s a YouTube profile featuring the new master of the Mountain Course.

The Dunlop family has decades of history at the IOMTT; Michael Dunlop, son of Robert Dunlop, and TT legend Joey Dunlop’s nephew, is one of the brightest stars at the island race these days. Here’s a video showing his aggressive racing style.

Finally, the most-loved movie to ever come from the Isle of Man is likely TT3D: Closer to the Edge. Sadly, it never saw North American distribution; CMG’s efforts to land rights to use it for a movie night were thwarted. However, you can watch the whole thing (albeit with Spanish subtitles) on YouTube, at least for now …
