We know KTM will be building a bunch of smaller bikes in the future. But a new set of spy shots from Infomotori confirm they’ve also got some bigger plans.

The shots give us another glimpse of KTM’s big-bore adventure bike project; we’ve been calling it the 1290 Adventure.

As we told you a while ago, this bike is supposed to put out 130 hp from a 1290cc V-twin engine; it’s supposed to be KTM’s answer to the BMW GS1200 (soon to be the GS1250).

The big-bore adventure bike market is starting to look pretty crowded now, with new machines from Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha and Triumph in the last couple years, but obviously KTM feels they need more than their new 350cc dual sport project to stay competitive.
