Could Kawasaki be working on a new full-sized adventure bike, a Versys 1000?

French website Moto-Net.com seems to think so; they’ve published what they claim are spy shots of the new bike; they say the machine will be unveiled in Milan in November.

If these photos are for real, Kawasaki's new adventure bike seems to be powered by an inline-four. Photo: Moto-Net.com

The bike they’ve photographed looks like it’s powered by an inline-four, which isn’t the usual choice for studly off-road adventurers; however, like their four-wheeled SUV counterparts, more and more of these adventure bikes are seeing less and less off-road action, so it would likely fit in fine with other similar bikes on the market right now.

  1. That bike looks amazing.  Enough horsepower to wheelie and enough braking to stoppie, even with full luggage.

(I’m a little concerned that the bike appears to do it alone, without rider – I might need to tie it down before I leave it alone in the garage)
