Motovan Corporation just got bigger. The Quebec-based parts distributor has purchased Alberta’s Steen Hansen Racing to increase their parts counter presence coast-to-coast.

Steen Hansen, a family-owned business that distributed brands such as Akrapovic, Gerbings, Leatt, Ohlins, One Industries and Sidi, has been working with dealers in western Canada for almost 40 years. Their long-term customers will likely be happy to hear that they’re still going to operate from an independent location, and  publish their own catalogue, even though they’re owned by Motovan. Poul Hansen will also still be involved with the company.

Steen Hansen Racing was founded by Danish immigrants Steen and Marion Hansen in 1971 to import Husqvarna motorcycles to Canada, and to import racing parts and clothing. Motovan has been around since 1980, and also sells parts for snowmobiles and ATVs.
