Problem: On certain motorcycles, the front brake switch may not function as intended, which could prevent the brake light from coming on when the front brake is applied, possibly confusing other drivers and causing a crash.
Correction: Dealers will replace the front brake switch.

Problem: On certain motorcycles, a ground joint connector of the wire harness could overheat, become deformed, and cause an intermittent ground wire connection. If the electrical system is not properly grounded, the ignition system and/or other electrical components could malfunction, which could cause the engine to stall, possibly causing to a crash.
Correction: Dealers will install an additional wire sub-lead; however, if the ground joint connector has already been damaged from overheating, the main wire harness will be replaced.

Problem: On certain motorcycles, the brake hose between the remote reservoir and the rear brake master cylinder may contact the swingarm when the vehicle is heavily loaded and ridden over rough surfaces. The resultant chafe damage could, over time, cause a brake fluid leak, which may result in a loss of braking performance and increased stopping distances, leading to a crash.
Correction: Dealers will replace the rear brake reservoir hose assembly.
