Szoke in Trial des Nations

Szoke is pretty capable even when he’s not riding on slicks.

Canadian Superbike champion Jordan Szoke will again be competing for his country in an international trials event. The seven-time national Superbike champion will be riding for Team Canada for a seventh time in the FIM Trial des Nations, this year to be held in Tolmezzo, Italy on Sept. 18.

The Trial des Nations has traditionally been dominated by the Spanish, but we’re betting on a strong performance from Szoke, who has helped team Canada finish in the top 10 five of the six times he’s attended the international competition. He also won the CMA Observed Trials championship in 2009 and 2010.

Szoke will join teammates Will Duggan and Devon D’Argis of British Columbia, Jonathan English of Ontario, and minder Jon Nelson, also of Ontario.

Team Canada must raise the necessary funds in order to attend the Trial des Nations; if you’d like to assist the team by making a donation you can do it through the CMA, or by contacting Bob Billyard at bob@ossacanada.ca.
