Highland stops production

Highland were just getting interesting

There’s bad news from Highland Motorcycles, again. With interim chief operating officer J. Darin Long out the door, the company is suspending production while they raise funds to hire new leadership.

Highland’s head office already took a heavy blow last July when a plane crash killed the company’s founder and president Mats Malmberg, chief operating officer Chase Bales, and chief financial officer Damian Riddoch.

Malmberg had formed the company in Sweden in 1997 and moved it to the US in 2010, with the plan of building bikes and engines for other companies.
