Rocket III Roadster

The Rocket III Roadster – Triumph’s answer to the V-Max?

Err, we’re a little late with this one (sorry) but just in case
you haven’t already heard, Triumph has added a new Roadster to the
Rocket III family.

The 2,294 cc Rocket Roadster gets a 15% bump
in torque to an unfeasibly huge 165 ft-lbs (at a mere 2,750 rpm) as well as a
bump in horsepower, though no figure has been released for that just yet.

ABS is fitted as standard and there’s a
more upright and higher riding position. There’s also a new dark flyscreen,
slimmer tanks and blacked out body parts for an altogether meaner look.

No price has been set for Canada just yet
but it should come in two variations of black – matte or metallic.

  1. For some unknown reason I look at this bike and think
How could I remove stuff / modify stuff to make it look better?
Especially the quirky exhaust system which I wish could mimic the BSA Rocket 3 and the Triumph Hurricane. I imagine 3 headers swooping down and back melding into some sort of a silencer with 3 machine gun tips treatening anyone from getting too close.
Then I see the massive crank case under the cylinders – Gawd how could you end up concealing that monstrosity.
I always seem to end up with something that looks like a 502 ci Boss and that’s already been done.
