So green, and you can ride it, too

Interested in riding a Zero?

If the idea of riding a bike with acceleration like a 250 motocrosser and the noise level of a wristwatch appeals to you, get down to the Toronto Green Living Show next weekend.

Zero will be there April 24–26 and they’ll be offering demo rides from their booth at the Direct Energy Centre. We can’t swear to it, but we assume the new Zero S street bike will be available in booth 2211 (not too far from the Grapes and Hops Tasting Pavilion, if that helps to whet your interest).

Zero, a California company, has been pushing hard at the electric motorcycle concept over the last few years, and even staged all-Zero races to demonstrate the power of their bikes. The new street-legal model was released for public consumption recently.

Meanwhile, another electric motorcycle manufacturer Vectrix, is in financial trouble and may be sold. The Rhode Island company plans to lay off 60 workers.
