Michael and Cyndi (apologies for the poor picture quality).

CMG regular Michael Shockett of Toronto was killed last weekend during a trip to Pennsylvania when he lost control of his Honda motorcycle in the rain and hit a utility pole. His wife, Cindy, who was riding on the back was also killed.

The accident occurred on Highway 660 in Delmar Township at around 10 am on Saturday 27th September. Michael and Cyndi were in a group of motorcycles apparently on their way to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.

Michael was 53 and had been riding bikes for 23 years. My condolences to family and friends.

  1. Most unfortunate indeed. Was in that area earlier on an STOC outing, and know something of the attraction. When lives are lost, we all lose. Sad, sad, sad.

  2. Absolutely terrible news.
I met them on a couple of CMG rides in the past – a very nice couple doing something they both loved.
    How tragic.
