Prices not expected to jump

Will buy just as much in ’09

It’s too early to be more than educated speculation, but at CMG we’re not expecting Canadian motorcycle prices to rise much in 2009.

This is despite that fact that it’s widely accepted that Japan will increase its prices for the 2009 model year as currency values fluctuate and fuel and commodity prices rise.

U.S. prices, which have been kept low – too low, according to Canadian importers – are also expected to rise.

Don’t be surprised if we hear tales of American’s shopping in Canadian stores for new motorcycles. Stranger things have happened.

Okay, maybe not.
