A provisional Moto GP race

The 2009 Moto GP calendar has been released in provisional form – which means you can count on it, provided they don’t change it.

The calendar includes a new round at Lake Balaton in Hungary and two rounds, as you might expect, in the U.S.

The series starts, as it did this year, in Qatar — though they’re not saying yet if it’ll be a night race. This year’s floodlit event was the first ever in Moto GP racing.

The first U.S. race will take place on July 5 in California, and the second will be the second annual Indianapolis round, on Aug. 30.
