A 50-year-old New Mexico resident shot himself in the foot at a bike shop after he became annoyed about a helmet he had bought.
The man threatened employees of Barnett Harley-Davidson in Las Cruces on Feb. 29 and pulled out a gun to make his point, then shot himself in the foot. Apparently, it was an accident.
Police and comedy writers are investigating. The man, bullet wound and all, is in jail on charges of attempted armed robbery.
Hardley suprising, if it was a H-D helmet.
