If we’re not careful, we might run out of famous Canadian motorcyclists. It’s a small world, after all.
Nominations for new members to the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame are open and will stay that way until Apr. 30 — so if you know someone who deserves to be recognized for contributions to motorcycling, now’s the time to put up a name.
The Hall of Fame induction banquet and (now that they’ve had a couple of them) "reunion," will be held Oct. 26 at the Renaissance Toronto Airport Hotel. You’ll be able to buy tickets for it later.
This will be the third year of operation for the Canadian Motorcycle Hall of Fame, which remembers Canadian motorcyclists of all types — dealers, clubs, racers, whacko’s, you name it — who have served the sport in some impressive way. Past members have included Yvon Duhamel and Michelle Duff, the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group, and Trev Deeley … no mean group.
